| Gregory Receives International Award
Richard V. Gregory, dean of the College of Sciences, was presented with the International Fiber Societys prestigious Ludwig Rebenfeld Founders Award last fall.
A 1980 graduate of Old Dominion, Gregory joined the university in fall 2003 as dean.
In presenting the award, the Fiber Society recognized Gregory for his exceptional contributions to the advancement of science, technology and engineering of fibers and fiber-based products and the promotion of such activities in the academe and the industry. He was further lauded for his fundamental contributions to the development of all organic electroactive and photonic polymeric devices for applications to fibers and thin films.
