Old Dominion has announced the formation of a committee that will help the university and the regional community commemorate the institution’s 75th anniversary starting with the fall 2005 semester.

Activities will take place throughout the 2005-06 academic year, starting with an event to mark the school’s first day of classes 75 years after the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary opened its doors on Sept. 12, 1930.

The planning committee is chaired by John R. Broderick, vice president for institutional advancement and chief of staff.
