ERecruiting Alumni can conduct online job searches using free service
Alumni who want to explore what's "out there" in the way of new jobs or careers, including those former students who may be between jobs, will be interested in one of the latest services offered by the Alumni Association, eRecruiting.
Designed to connect alumni job-seekers with potential employers, this free job search service was initiated in December. It is managed jointly by Old Dominion's Office of Alumni Relations and Career Management Center, and builds on the university's successful Career Advantage Program by providing a continuing benefit to alumni through the Alumni Advantage Program.
With eRecruiting, alumni can register personal, academic and placement information, upload resumes and cover letters, search for jobs, and even select interview times - all from a single application that is available via the Internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The service also allows registered alumni employers to electronically post jobs free of charge, view and download the resumes of potential employees from electronic resume books, and electronically receive resumes in response to posted jobs directly on their desktop any time of the day.
To register for the free service, visit the Alumni Association Web site at http://alumni.odu.edu (click on Career Development) or call the alumni office: 683-3097, or toll free, 1-888-ODU-3435.
Alumni also are invited to attend the annual Fall Job Fair in Webb Center. Representatives from more than 100 major employers will be at the event, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 16.
