Gov. Warner Appoints Alumni, Retired Navy Admiral To BOV

Two ODU alumni are among the latest appointments to Old Dominion’s Board of Visitors. Gov. Mark R. Warner announced the new members, along with his decision not to reappoint Walter D. Kelley Jr. and Henry P. Bouffard to second terms, this summer.

Joining the board will be:
Mark E. Strome of Pacific Palisades, Calif., president of Strome Investment Management, L.P., and a 1978 graduate of Old Dominion.

Pat Tsao, founder, CEO and president of INTECS International Inc., a leading information technology firm, based in Alexandria, Va. She earned her master’s degree in computer science from ODU in 1983.

Retired Adm. Harold W. Gehman Jr. of Virginia Beach, who retired in 2000 from his post as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander, Atlantic.

Robert Copeland of Virginia Beach, a real estate developer.

Board members Nancy P. Cheng and William M. Lechler of Virginia Beach, both of whom had served two terms, were not eligible for reappointment.
