Gov. Mark R. Warner has appointed retired judge Marc Jacobson to the ODU Board of Visitors.

Jacobson, who retired last year as a Norfolk Circuit Court judge, is filling the unexpired term of Prabhav V. Maniyar (M.S. ’85), who died Oct. 25, 2004. The term will end June 30, 2006, at which time Jacobson will be eligible for reappointment.

Old Dominion’s Welcome Center is named for Jacobson and his wife, Connie, and they are sponsors of the university’s Raoul Wallenberg Lecture.
