Heather M. Brown, of Virginia Beach, a full-time doctoral student in instructional design and technology, has taken three online courses and three hybrid courses – those taught through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous instruction – from Old Dominion. She will receive her degree in May. Brown has a graduate assistantship this semester as an instructional designer at the Center for Learning Technologies.
