Women’s Soccer Squad Captures 1st CAA Title

The women’s soccer team made its first-ever NCAA tournament appearance last fall after defeating William and Mary in the CAA semifinals and knocking off James Madison 3-2 in overtime for the league championship.

The team’s history-making season came to an end in the first round of the NCAA event, when the Lady Monarchs lost 4-0 to Wake Forest.

Junior forward Katie Watson (Lorton, Va.), a sport management major, was named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-America squad.
