Nine Alumni Named To Inside Business’ “Top Forty Under 40”
Nine Old Dominion alumni and one current student were named to Inside Business newspaper’s “Top Forty Under 40” list of the area’s top business professionals.
The annual list, published in October, highlights 40 young, rising business people who are both successful in their careers and involved in the community. The group was chosen from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of five judges.
ODU student Carlos J. Clanton, director of the Norfolk Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, is pursuing a corporate and industrial arts degree.
ODU alumni making the list were:
• Carla Tyler Brittle (M.P.A. ’99), age 36, management and resource administrator for James City County Government Parks and Recreation;
• Cateena Carter ’99, age 34, CEO and technical director at Unique Imaging Solutions;
• Jeff Cooper ’90, age 37, vice president of Cooper Realty Inc.;
• Wanda Cooper ’97, age 31, attorney at Bullock & Cooper;
• Stephanie J. Dickens ’94, age 35, vice president, retail lending, at Old Point National Bank;
• Rob J. Gies ’90 (M.E.M. ’94), age 39, engineer manager and CVN 79 acting program manager at Northrop Grumman Newport News;
• Yasmine Hooper ’93, age 36, owner and manager of Hooper Management Co.;
• Khalilah LeGrand ’00, age 30, Eastern Virginia director of the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council; and
• Clenise Platt (M.S. ’98), age 34, private wealth adviser for Sagemark Consulting.
