Grads Help Develop Scanner Protocols

ODU nuclear medicine technology graduates Brandi Key ’05 and Heidi Ambrose ’04 take a moment before preparing the VOA/Sentara Mobile PET/CT Scanner for their next patient. They work together on the scanner, which is located at the Virginia Oncology Associates’ Lake Wright office in Norfolk. In conjunction with the VOA oncologists and attending radiologists, Key and Ambrose have developed the protocols for patient imaging on the scanner, which is used to detect and manage certain types of cancer.
