New Facility To House Bookstore, Development Office And Café

Old Dominion’s Office of Development will occupy office space in the new 3 1/2-story University Bookstore facility, to be built at the corner of 45th Street and Monarch Way in the University Village. Construction on the facility was expected to begin this fall.

The building’s first and second floors will be dedicated to the bookstore, which will offer approximately 20,000 titles – from textbooks to bestsellers to children’s books. The first floor will also feature a café with an outdoor seating area. The development office will occupy the upper floors. Owned by the ODU Real Estate Foundation, the building is projected to open in fall 2007 and will replace the current bookstore in Webb Center.
