Call For Nominations

The Alumni Association invites nominations for the following appointments and awards. All submissions should include a letter of nomination and a resume of the nominee.

Alumni Association Board
Nominee must be an ODU graduate who has demonstrated service to the university. Candidate must be willing to make a strong commitment to the Alumni Association and university, including an annual gift of at least $500 to the Dominion Fund.

A. Rufus Tonelson Award
Nominee must be a current full-time ODU faculty member and may be recognized for outstanding achievement in one of three categories: teaching, research or service.

Distinguished Alumni Award
Nominee must be an ODU graduate. The award is made in recognition of outstanding service to the community, state, nation or mankind, or for outstanding accomplishment in one’s profession.

Alumni Service Award
Nominee must be an ODU graduate. The award is made in recognition of outstanding and extraordinary service to the university and the primary interests of the Alumni Association in particular.
