The Old Dominion campus was a veritable axis of activity at the start of the fall 2007 semester. With the largest freshman class in university history (2,582) and a record number of students living on campus (3,588), the grounds and buildings teemed with students starting out – and continuing – on their higher education paths. ODU experienced a 16 percent increase in the number of applications from students with distinction – those with a minimum 3.4 high school GPA and SAT score of 1200 or higher.
