Adopt-A-Stream Event TODAY

<p> VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!<br /> <br /> Join your fellow faculty, staff, and students in a clean-up of the Lafayette and Elizabeth River.&nbsp; The University has adopted, through the Commonwealth of Virginia&rsquo;s Adopt-A-Stream Program, the portion of the Lafayette River shoreline that lies behind Rogers Hall and along 49th Street and the Elizabeth River shoreline behind Whitehurst and Sailing Center.&nbsp; This is an excellent opportunity for you to participate in an activity that benefits the environment.<br /> <br /> Employees, please obtain authorization from your supervisor to attend.&nbsp; You may use your &ldquo;community service leave&rdquo; to take part in this event. &nbsp;<br /> <br /> Date:&nbsp;&nbsp; Thursday, April 24th<br /> <br /> Time:<br /> Elizabeth River @&nbsp; 11:00 AM. (Meet at gazebo behind Whitehurst Hall)<br /> Lafayette River @&nbsp;&nbsp; 1:30 PM. (Meet at Roger Hall Parking Lot #11)<br /> <br /> <br /> Please register online at http://www.odu.edu/forms_admin/viewform.php?formid=3878<br /> <br /> What to wear: &nbsp;<br /> Old Clothes including long sleeve shirt, long pants and old sneakers or boots (you may get dirty, especially below your knees).&nbsp; We will provide gloves and disposable shoe covers.
