Get a Free A1C Test to Detect Prediabetes in Our Research Study

<p> We are conducting a research&nbsp;study aimed at&nbsp;earlier detection of prediabetes.&nbsp;To participate,&nbsp;you&nbsp;must be 18&ndash;65 years old and pass a simple health screening questionnaire that you will&nbsp;complete&nbsp;in our lab in the SRC.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> If approved to be in the study, you will&nbsp;receive a free A1C test on&nbsp;your second visit,&nbsp;which is a common fingerstick blood test to screen&nbsp;for diabetes and prediabetes,&nbsp;and undergo some simple and quick&nbsp;testing with monofilaments and other painless screening tools.&nbsp;Your participation will&nbsp;determine the most effective methods of detection of prediabetes and early health problems, giving more time for individuals to respond with healthier life choices.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> Please contact Jennifer Brown at <a href="https://webmail.odu.edu/owa/redir.aspx?C=gq_ABd0cWE2gRkUIbqp6iccibDjALdEIKCGAjN4uFLcI7cW-_0Y0uI_4pR-yZbEQr7qg6xxueGY.&amp;URL=mailto%3ajbrow126%40odu.edu" target="_blank">jbrow126@odu.edu</a>&nbsp;in the Human Movement Sciences Department if you are interested in participating or with any additional questions.</p>
