<p> NSU, ODU and YWCA Together Celebrating Black History Monday</p> <p> <strong><em>Created Equal: A Community Conversation about <strong><em>Freedom and Equality in America</em></strong></em></strong></p> <p> <strong><strong><strong>Saturday, February 22, 2014 </strong>2:00-4:30pm Lecture Hall 244</strong></strong></p> <p> <strong><strong>a reception with light refreshments to follow</strong></strong></p> <p> <strong><strong>This event will feature excerpts from &ldquo;The Loving Story,&rdquo; a documentary film set in Virginia against a back-drop of anti-miscegenation sentiment that retells the story of Richard and Mildred Loving, a bi-racial couple.</strong></strong></p> <p> <strong><strong>A panel discussion will be moderated by Barbara Hamm Lee, Executive Producer and Host of &ldquo;Another View.&rdquo;</strong></strong></p> <p> <strong><strong>Supported by the National Endowment of the Humanities&rsquo; initiative &ldquo;Created Equal: America&rsquo;s Civil Rights Struggle, commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation</strong></strong></p>
