This event is FREE to anyone who is pursuing a degree in teacher preparation. However, you MUST register for the event BEFORE FEBRUARY 12TH in order to be eligible to join us. You can do that using the link on the Welcome page of the SVEA on OrgSync https://orgsync.com/55775/chapter The first part of the event deals with interviewing skills, resume building, and applying for jobs. That will be on Saturday, February 15th, from 9:00-12:30PM in BAL 1012. There will be breakfast and a brief informational session before the three workshops. The second part will give you your very own mock interview with a local school administrator. You will have the opportunity to watch three other candidates interview, go through your own individual interview, and then receive general advice and pointers from the administrator you interviewed with. They will be selling cards to fill out in honor of someone you know that has been affected by cancer.These cards will be sold for $1 and you will receive a Hershey kiss in return! They will be hosting a raffle - tickets will be $1! (They are great Valentine's Day gifts!) You can also guess the amount of kisses in a jar to win the entire jar. Baked goods with pink lemonade will be sold at the event.
