What's New in Some Popular Science & Engineering Databases

February 16, Saturday

10:30 AM - Noon

Room 1306 in the Learning Commons @ Perry Library

This  workshop, geared toward faculty and graduate research, will highlight some of the most popular and heavily used science and engineering databases and describe new and improved features that allow you to gather more in-depth information in an efficient and effective manner. Some of these enhancements include

·         ability to search the Web of Science database, MEDLINE and BIOSIS Previews either individually, simultaneously, or any combination of two of the databases through the same search interface

·         a huge collection of science and engineering conference proceedings has been added to the Web of Science database where searchers can now see who has cited particular conference papers

·         the Engineering Village search interface for searching Compendex and INSPEC has been enhanced to include more search options from the opening search screen as well as more limiting or refining option from the results screen
