Copyright Expert to Speak on Faculty Publishing Agreements


In recognition of Open Access Week, the Old Dominion University Libraries in partnership with the Office of Academic Affairs will host a lecture by Kimberly M. Bonner titled  “Faculty Publishing Agreements:  What You Don’t Know Can Hurt You, Your University and Your Peers”.  

She will speak at Old Dominion University on October 31, 2013, from 12:30-1:30 pm in room 1310-11 in the Learning Commons@Perry Library. Light refreshments will be served. 


The lecture will address issues relevant to anyone interested in publishing within academic/scholarly publications. Specific topics include publishing theses and dissertations, retaining intellectual property rights, and digital and open access publishing options. Ms. Bonner will address your questions during the session.

This lecture is the inaugural event in the University Libraries’ campus-wide Scholarly Communication Initiative to provide the ODU community with valuable information concerning the world of academic and scholarly publishing.
