Fair Trade and the Impact on Women in the Global Community

Graduate student, Maribel Lora examines the advantages and disadvantages of the fair trade justice movement. This program explores the effects on the international poor, particularly women. Ms. Lora will discuss her research on ethical business models and economic justice. Anna Richerby of Beloved Beadwork will co-present via Skype from South Africa. Ms. Lora will share her experience working with Beloved Beadwork through her Women’s Studies short-term study abroad course in Cape Town, South Africa.
