PFF Event 3/22: ePublishing in Academia

There will be a Preparing Future Faculty Event Friday, March 22, from noon until 2:00 p.m. in the Virginia Beach Room of Webb Center entitled: "Publish, Don't Perish:  The Use of ePublishing in academia". Dr. Avi Santo, Assistant Professor, Communication and Theatre Arts and Co-Creator of Media Commons:  A Digital Scholarly Network (http://mediacommons.futureofthebook.org) will discuss some of the critical issues in his presentation “When New Modes of Publishing Meet Old Modes of Evaluation:  Rethinking Our Credentials”.

This will be followed by a panel discussion with faculty and students  involved in different aspects of epublishing. Panelists will be Dr. Michelle Kelley, Professor, Department of Psychology; Dr. Bob Lucking, Professor, Teaching & Learning, and Mr. Lucas Flatt, ODU Graduate Student and Managing Editor of BarelySouth.com

All ODU and PFF affiliated graduate students (and faculty) are welcome. No registration is necessary. Please post or distribute the attached flyer.
