Student Employee of the Year 2013: Nomination Deadline February 18th, 2013

Student Employee of the Year 2013:

Please take time to recognize your student worker now! Deadline February 18th, 2013

Each year the Career Management Center makes it a point to recognize student employees for their contributions and achievements at work. It is now time for all campus supervisors to nominate your student employees as the Student Employee of the Year - Old Dominion University.

The Career Management Center is looking for a student worker who you feel exhibits the assets of reliability, high quality of work, initiative, attitude, and overall professionalism.  A panel of judges at ODU will meet to select our top 3 finalists and name the winner.

Every nominee will be invited to a festive luncheon and award ceremony here at ODU. ODU’s winner will then be submitted to the regional SASEA (Southern Association of Student Employment Administrators) pool and if selected will win cash prize and a plaque of recognition SASEA Regional Student Employee of the Year.  The regional winner is then one of the quarter finalists in the national competition and will have the opportunity to become National Student Employee of the Year and receive an additional cash prize and a plaque presented by an official of the National organization.

The nomination form only takes minutes to fill out and is open to all student employees, so please take the time to recognize our amazing student workers. Submissions and Supporting Nomination Letters (on Official Letterhead) must be received on or before February 18th, 2013 at 12:00 PM for consideration. Please email your nominations, or send them by campus mail. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Joslyn McElvy  or Jay McCord .
