QEP Workshops -- Spring 2013

We are recruiting faculty in each college who are willing to stretch their minds to learn how to better stretch their students' minds. The QEP focuses on full-time faculty teaching undergraduate, upper level (300 and 400-level) courses. We encourage faculty teaching these courses to apply to the Learning through Writing Faculty Workshops to learn how to enhance learning through writing in ways that will not burden you with grading! Topics include: Stretching our Minds, Does it Have to be a 20-page Paper, That’s Not How WE Do it, Throw Me a Lifeline, and How to Assign Writing When Writing is Hard to Do. Participants will receive a $2,000 stipend for attending the workshop and refreshments including lunch. Participants must be able to attend all 5 workshop sessions which will be held every third Friday during the Spring 2013 term: 1/25, 2/15, 3/8, 3/29 and 4/19 from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
