October 19- Humanities Colloquium

<p> Please make plans to attend the upcoming College of&nbsp; Arts &amp; Letters Colloquium event on <strong>October 19, 2012 </strong>from <strong>3:00-5:00 in </strong><strong>BAL 9024</strong>. This Colloquium will be featuring two faculty colleagues with news books. <strong>Dr. Dana Heller</strong>, Chair of the English Department, will talk about her new book John Waters and the movie Hairspray, and <strong>Dr. Vittorio Colaizzi</strong>, Art Department, will discuss his forthcoming book on artist Robert Ryman.&nbsp; See flyer attached.<br /> <br /> Also, please save the date for the <strong>November 9</strong> colloquium event on &quot;Global Forms of Political Satire,&quot; featuring the Humanities Institute&#39;s Fulbright Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow,<strong> Marjo Kohelmainen</strong>, from the University of Tampere, Finland, and the Institute&#39;s director, Dr. Jeffrey Jones.&nbsp; Kohelmainen will talk about her dissertation research on the Finnish animated political satire show, The Autocrats.
