Sadly known as the world capital of rape, the DRC presents a complex reality where the international community duels with multidimensional challenges on the ground. Considering the country`s own historic and cultural characteristics, this presentation will discuss the nature of sexual violence in the DRC and will focus on the initiatives undertaken by the international community to tackle this problem.
