Chord Spelling
One must be able to spell chords in much the same way as
we are required to spell words. A musician should be able to say
"D,F#, A" when asked to spell a D major chord. The only way to become
proficient at this is to drill continually. A computer program which
drills chord spellings is available to anyone without cost. Merely
present a floppy disk or CD to the instructor and he will return a copy
of this program. Also practice at spelling chords can be accomplished
by clicking on http://www.teoria.com/exercises/ac-const3.htm.
