Some danger signals concerning cadences
- It is generally weak to cadence on an inverted chord
- Deceptive cadence is V to vi (V to VI), not V to vi6 or
V6 to vi
- V to IV is very weak; one of the two chords inverted is not as bad
- In Phrygian cadence look out for hidden 5ths
- In Phrygian cadence look out for parallel 5ths
- In Phrygian cadence look out for +2 interval
- Phrygian cadence can only be in a minor key
- If you have more than 1 voice skipping over a 4th, there is probably an
error in voice leading
