In addition to implying the position of the chord, the numbers under a
bass note indicate which intervals will be present above the bass.

A number with a slash through it means that the interval above the bass
will be raised by a half step
-
An accidental by itself under a bass note signifies that a third above
the bass will be altered with the given accidental
-
A dash under a bass note means that the same interval as in the preceding
chord will remain
-
An accidental in front of a number tells us to alter the interval with
the given specific accidental
