This a picture of Nigel, our tour guide when we first entered Great Britain. Nigel made entering London, England a pleasant experience. He gave us a lot of great information that helped us enjoy our time London. He is really funny and down to earth. He has a great British accent that I wish I could imitate but I'm not able to. Nigel seemed to enjoy his job very much and his enthusiasm made me optimistic about the adventure we were about to partake.
This is a picture of Prince Albert Memorial. This was the first attraction that I saw after entering London, England. Nigel our tour guide told us Prince Albert was the wife of Queen Victoria. The statue is very beautiful and setting made it a very nice picture.
This picture is the beginning of the Changing of the Guards ceremony. I was extremely excited to see this event. I was impressed by the coordination and how discipline the men protrayed themselves. I love their uniforms and this was a memorable event.
This is a picture of the entrance of Kensington Palace. This palace was an enjoyable place to visit. However, I do wish I were able to take pictures in this museum. There were many dresses that Princess Diana wore in the palace. They were so beautiful and it really touched me to see a display of Princess Diana's dresses. There were different exhibits that were informative, for example, the Debutante display.

This is a picture of a booth at Portabella Market. The market was very unique. I have never seen anything like this in the United States. It was an outside market with different shops. The shops had a little something for everyone. This booth had different artwork and sculptures that you could buy.

This a picture of the London Eye. The Eye took took about 30 minutes to get all the around. It was really nice to see the whole city of London from the sky. This was a very busy tourist attraction, but the line went down very fast which was great. While riding the Eye we could see the whole city from above.

This is a picture from the London Eye at night. Big Ben is one of the most popular tourist attractions in London. It was one of the attractions I could not wait to see. London is really beautiful at night as well in the daytime. At night, the view from the London Eye is breathtaking.
This is a picture of the wonderful Tower Bridge. It is a very beautiful site in London, England. Tower Bridge crosses the Thames right next to the Tower of London. People tend to call this London Bridge but that is not the name. Nigel did mention that London Bridge is in Arizona.

This is a display from the Tate Modern Museum. It is a very unique piece from the museum. It is called the Tate Modern Spider. I don't really like spiders so it definitely caught my eye. In addition, it is an eye catcher from its large size. The room was the size of two football fields and the piece was in the middle of the floor.

This is a picture of me, Whitney Bailey, in front of the remarkable Stonehenge. It is a very unique attraction that I could not stop starring at the whole time I was there. I was so amazed by the stones and I just wanted someone to tell me how the stones got there. However, nobody knows the whole story.

This is a picture of the Roman Baths. This was a very pretty place. The water is over 2,000 years old. It was very warm and steam came from it. The water is not sanitary and could be hazadrous. There were signs asking tourist not to touch the water. But I saw many people breaking that rule.
] Left to Right: Stephanie Calway, Whitney Bailey, and Whitney Vaughan. This picture was taken at the Fashion Museum in Bath. The outfits we are wearing were worn in the Victorian Era. The women wore this as a general undergarment during this time. It was a lot of fun to dress up like this to see how it feels. On the other hand, I'm glad I don't have to wear this everyday. I could not breathe with the corset on because it fits so tightly!
This is a picture outside of the BBC studios. BBC studio is the largest news network in Great Britain. This was one of the many highlights of my trip. It was nice to see the studio along with everything that goes on in a newsroom. We actually got to see live tapings of sitcoms and game shows taking place while we were there.

This is a picture of Kelli Brown. The tour guide gave a description of what it would look like if the meterologists wore blue while on television. The screen that is in the background is blue, however, when we see it on televsion it looks like the above picture. To demonstrate this the tour put a blue sheet around Kelli and as we can see it covered her completely. The sheet made her body disappear on the screen. This was really funny!

This is a picture from the BBC studios. The studio had a place where the visitors could come and pretend to be television news anchors. Stephanie Calway and Whitney Vaughan were the members of the group chosen to read the news. There was a teleprompter they had to read. It was really nice to see how this really works.
This is a picture inside one of the Angel Costumer's designer work room. The lady dressed in black was working on costume for an upcoming play in London, England. A lot of work goes into these costumes. It takes very experienced and talented people to do this line of work. I was really impressed! Our tour guide was the man in the stripped shirt. He told a lot of "funny jokes about Americans" while on the tour.

This is a picture of the Angels Costume Sudio. It was the size of three Wal-Marts or more put together. There were so many costume in the studio. I was blown away by all the clothing that was in one place. The costumes were from many different films, movies and plays.
This is a picture at the Globe Theater. On stage is a group of performers practicing for a show that was performed that night. The Globe Theater was built in 1599 during the Shakespeare's era. The theater has been renovated over time but still has its 1500s atmosphere. I was really impressed by the way the Globe Theater looked. It was an outside theater and very large in size. I would like to see a play at this theater.
This is a picture of tea and cucumber sandwiches at Kensington Palace. I was really happy to have participated in this event. It was a very elegant setting at 3 pm. The tea was really good. Maybe next time I can have tea with the Queen at 3pm. "You never know!"
