Appeals
The University provides a structured means to appeal a citation. Failure to follow the procedures for appeal will result in the assessment of appropriate fines and waiver of the right to appeal.
Appeals Process:
-
A person who receives a University parking citation may appeal the citation at the PTS office.
-
Appeals must be made within seven business days after issuance of the citation.
-
Appellants must submit a written appeal by the deadline. Citation should be attached to the appeals form.
-
Parking & Transportation Services will mail the forms if a telephone request is made.
-
Appeals received after the deadline will result in forfeiture of the right to appeal. Only the Director, Assistant Director, Appeals Manager or an authorized Parking & Transportation Services staff member will grant exception.

-

-
Appellants may choose to present their case in person or by letter. However, the board will review the case whether or not appellants choose to attend the hearing.
-
If the Re-Appeals Committee decides in the appellant's favor, a refund check will be mailed to appellant.
-
The board's decision is final.
