1. Study Abroad: The “Other” International Student

Steve Johnson, Director of Study Abroad, will talk about the exchange students at ODU and the unique issues facing this population.

2. International Womens’ Issues

This session will highlight the different issues facing women across the world, and the issues specific to woman international students who choose to study in the US.  It will be presented by Dr. Jennifer Fish, Professor of Women’s Studies.

3. Film and Society

Jonathan Lopez, who teaches Film and Society in the Sociology Department, will lead a session on how one’s specific culture influences the making and experiencing of film, and how film is used to transmit culture.
