The Hourly and Classified Employees Association (HACE) recognizes classified or hourly employees their contributions to the University and surrounding communities. There are two awards - Staff Member of the Year and Rookie Staff Member of the Year. The awards are presented at the Annual HACE Luncheon in May each year. In addition to a cash award, winners receive a framed certificate, complimentary tickets to University events, reserved parking for a year and an engraved name plate on the plaque in Webb Center.
Selection criteria include: demonstrated University involvement over and above job responsibilities, community involvement/public service, demonstrated diligence, initiative, motivation, cooperation, teamwork and assistance to coworkers and others.
