PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT PROCESS

The Performance Management Process is an annual cycle (October 25 through the following October 24) that encompasses three phases.

  • Phase 1 - Performance Planning begins the process each year, and is typically done right after performance evaluations are completed.
  • Phase 2 - Performance Management is the actual PERFORMANCE phase of the process and involves on-going documentation of an employee's performance and feedback.
  • Phase 3 - Performance Evaluation is completed each year from mid-August to October. The employee and supervisor collaboratively discuss and evaluate the employee's performance for the past year.
