ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING

Old Dominion University strives to maintain a safe, healthy, efficient workplace free from drug and alcohol abuse. In compliance with the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991, Old Dominion University maintains a program for testing alcohol and controlled substances. This program includes pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, random and post-accident alcohol and controlled substances testing of employees who are required to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and for public safety officers. All employees are subject to reasonable suspicion testing.
