Compensatory Leave

Compensatory leave is authorized leave with pay for hours worked on a holiday, on a scheduled rest day, during a closing as an "designated" employee, or for hours of overtime worked. Compensatory leave must be taken within 12 months from the date it was earned. Exempt classified employees eligible to receive compensatory leave for overtime compensation may not accrue more than 80 hours of compensatory leave.
