ODU President John R. Broderick Named to NCAA Institutional Performance Committee

Old Dominion University President John R. Broderick has been selected to serve on the NCAA Committee for Institutional Performance, effective in September, 2014.

The committee, formerly known as the NCAA Division I Athletics Certification Program, focuses on the student-athlete experience through the establishment of review processes for all Division I institutions.

Committee responsibilities include the development of educational and orientation programs, recommending ongoing changes to the program, determining successful completion of the program for reclassifying and provisional institutions, and collaborating with groups in the Division I governance to identify trends and propose changes to Division I legislation.

Joanne Glasser, president of Bradley University, chairs the committee.

Broderick is a former member of the NCAA President's Advisory Group. Additionally, he is the Virginia representative for National Association of State Colleges and Universities and serves as vice chair for both the Virginia Council of Presidents and Conference USA.
