Full Slate of Women’s History Month Programs Scheduled in March
The ODU Women's Center celebrates Women's History Month with a variety of programs on campus for students, faculty and staff. This year's theme, "Celebrating Women of Character, Courage and Commitment," honors the extraordinary and often unrecognized determination and tenacity of women.
The monthlong celebration had been scheduled to open tonight with Lunafest, an evening of short films made by and about women; due to the university closing, however, that event has been postponed to a date to be determined (any tickets previously purchased for tonight's event will be honored on the new date). The March 4 "$tart $mart" program, an interactive salary negotiation workshop designed to give college women the confidence and skills they need to earn fair compensation, will also be rescheduled. Women's History Month at ODU concludes March 31 with "A Woman's Worth," a variety show that celebrates women everywhere.
For more information about any of the following Women's History Month programs, call the Women's Center at 683-4109 or visit www.odu.edu/womenscenter.
