Neil Cutler Wins Administration and Finance’s Gazelle Award

Neil Cutler, procurement manager for Old Dominion, received the 2013 Gazelle Award at the Administration and Finance division's holiday gathering on Wednesday at the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

Created in 1997, the annual award recognizes an employee in Administration and Finance who exhibits a number of exceptional characteristics, including consistent exceptional performance, positive enthusiasm, outstanding service to customers, and willingness and ability to learn and grow personally.

Vice President Bob Fenning presented the award, which consists of a $1,000 bonus and framed certificate.

A letter of nomination included the following comments about Cutler: "People love working with Neil. He is always happy, upbeat and positive. He makes people feel good and never has a negative thing to say about anything. He is extremely supportive of his co-workers and his customers. Neal is a delightful young man and everyone loves working with him."

A former procurement officer for the cities of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, Cutler joined the ODU staff in 2004 and currently oversees all warehouse functions and surplus sales, as well as the procurement of goods and services.
