Benefits Fair Set for Oct. 23 in Webb Center; Free Flu Shots Offered

The Department of Human Resources will hold its annual Employee Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the Hampton/Newport News Room and River Rooms in Webb Center.

Representatives from most of the university's benefits providers will be on hand. ODU employees are invited to attend the fair to meet with the vendors, ask questions, gather information and register for great door prizes, which will be raffled throughout the day.

All adult full-time employees and family members 18 and older, who are enrolled in state health benefits, will also have an opportunity to receive a free flu shot at the fair. Participants must present their member ID card at the time of vaccination. It will be administered in the arm, so those getting the shot are advised to dress appropriately - in a loose-fitting long sleeve or short sleeve shirt or blouse.

Those planning to get a flu shot should bring a completed consent form with them. To obtain the form, call the Department of Human Resources at 683-3042.
