Monarch Family Weekend: A Photo Essay

In addition to spending some quality time with their son or daughter, the parents (and siblings) of ODU students had a wide variety of activities to choose from during their visit to campus for Monarch Family Weekend, Sept. 20-22. There was an Honors College reception for first-year students and their parents, a "paddle palooza" on the Elizabeth River sponsored by the Outdoor Adventure Program and the annual President's Brunch.

Other activities included a services fair, educational sessions, a charity walk/run, an alumni reception and soccer and football games. Monarch Family Weekend, which attracted nearly 1,500 parents, siblings and other relatives to campus, is sponsored by Student Transition and Family Programs, part of the Division of Student Engagement and Enrollment Services.
