Data Control
Data Control is responsible for handling problems/questions concerning Banner cutoff dates, journal entries (including data entry) or reports, batch number assignment, Master Signature list inquiries, and Banner report distribution problems. Financial information will be provided to customers through timely distribution of financial reports and research of customer inquiries. Data Control will provide a central records depository for the Office of Finance in accordance with State records retention guidelines.
Resolving Budget Discrepancies
The Office of Finance researches and resolves errors when departments discover inappropriate or unidentifiable expenditures against their budgets.
Authorized Signature List
Individuals must be on the Master Signature List in order to sign against their budget codes for any purpose.
Banner Financial Access
Staff who have the responsibility of monitoring budget information in Banner must obtain a Banner account.
Banner Financial Reports
Banner is the official record for all University expenditures and provides budget activity detail and summary data on-line.
System Changes
When departments or administrators need to request changes within the administrative financial system, they must complete the appropriate paperwork.
Budget Unit Director (BUD)
Individuals who are designated as Budget Unit Directors for their area must be loaded into Banner.
ePrint
The Banner ePrint software allows users to view monthly electronic budget reports.
