Luke M. Hilier

Mr. Luke M. Hillier was appointed to the Board of Visitors on July 1, 2010. He currently serves as chair of the Institutional Advancement Committee and as a member of the Executive and Administration & Finance Committees. He is also on the Board's Bylaws Review Committee.

Mr. Hillier is a native of Virginia Beach and attended Old Dominion University from 1990-1994. He graduated with a B.S. in Finance, summa cum laude. While attending Old Dominion, he was recognized as an Outstanding Scholar Athlete with a 4.0 GPA.

Upon graduation in 1994, Mr. Hillier accepted a position with the Outstanding Scholars program in Acquisition Management for the U.S. Federal Government. He was recognized with a U.S. NAVAIR Meritorious Service Award for outstanding service.

After several years, Mr. Hillier joined the Oracle Corporation in their State and Local Government sales division. He served as a lead state and local government sales representative. While there he won Salesperson of the Year during 1998, achieving over 300% of his sales quota.

In 1999, Mr. Hillier founded the largest Oracle Software reseller, Mythics, Inc., an Oracle-based information system solutions provider in the U.S. He served as Chief Executive Officer, interfacing with Federal, State and local government agencies, health care and higher education facilities. As CEO, he grew Mythics from a garage startup with no employees into the dominant Oracle solutions provider with over 60 employees and annual sales over $300 million. In 2004, Mythics won Oracle's Partner of the Year award.

Also in 2000, Mr. Hillier took an ownership position in ADS, Inc. and was nominated chairman by its Board of Directors. In 2003, he became more involved in the operations of ADS and took additional responsibilities in his role as Chairman of the Board for ADS, Inc. In his current position as CEO, he leads one of the nation's leading operational equipment and logistics solutions providers with annual sales over $900 million and oversees a workforce of over 350 employees with both east and west coast operations.

Mr. Hillier is a member of the Virginia Beach Development Authority, Old Dominion University Alumni Association, Young Professionals Organization of Hampton Roads, Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, National Government Contractors Association, and participates in the ODU Landmark Executive-in-Residence program. He was previously a member of the College of Business and Public Administration's Executive Advisory Council.

Mr. Hillier resides in Virginia Beach, and has 3 daughters, Lauren, Laine, and Logan.
